ITV Sets Premiere Date For ‘Beecham House’

Beecham House will premiere on ITV on Sunday June 23rd at 9pm, it has been announced. The second episode will air the following night (Monday June 24th) at 9pm, before the series assumes its regular Sunday night 9pm slot.

Sky Launches European Production Hub Sky Studios, Plans To Double Spend On Originals

Fresh off of the success of their co-production Chernobyl, Sky has announced plans to launch Sky Studios - a European wide development and production hub. Alongside the new production capability, the satcaster, with the backing of new owners Comcast, will double their spend on original productions over the next five years.

Discovery & BBC Studios Complete UKTV Deal; Multi-Channel Broadcaster Splits

Discovery and BBC Studios have closed the UKTV transaction; splitting up the multi-channel broadcaster. The completed deal comes after the agreement, first announced in April, got the nod from Ofcom last week. BBC Studios now assumes full control of the UKTV brand, VOD service UKTV play and entertainment channels Alibi, Dave, Drama, Eden, Gold, W and Yesterday. Discovery walks away with lifestyle channels Really, Home and Good Food. The deal cost BBC Studios £173 million.
