Reel One Entertainment Hires Barbara Fisher As EVP, Scripted Content
Reel One Entertainment has hired former Hallmark and Lifetime executive Barbara Fisher to serve as their Executive Vice-President of Scripted Content. “I’m thrilled to be working with Tom Berry and the talented team at Reel One Entertainment”, Fisher said in a statement. “It is an exciting and busy time for the company as we grow our television production slate.” 
UKTV is turning to Eddie “The Beast” Hall for their next original. Dave has ordered Eddie Eats America, a food series fronted by the former World’s Strongest Man. Twelve episodes have been ordered for the show's first season.
ITV has ordered Honour, a two-part drama exploring the police investigation into the murder of Banaz Mahmod, who was the victim of a so-called 'honour killing' for falling in love with the wrong man. Keeley Hawes is attached to star in the two-parter. 

Channel 4 has set the cast for The Light. Joanna Scanlan (Getting On), Sidse Babett Knudsen (Westworld), Mark Lewis Jones (Keeping Faith), Genevieve Barr (Press) are set to star opposite Sarah Lancashire (Happy Valley) in the four-part drama from Jack Thorne.
Canadian drama Departure will receive its UK premiere on Universal TV on Wednesday July 10th at 9pm, it has been announced.
