Chris Geere, Will Arnett & More To Star In BBC Two’s ‘The First Team’

Chris Geere (You're The Worst, Modern Family), Will Arnett (BoJack Horseman, Arrested Development), Shaquille Ali-Yebuah (The Feed, The Children Act), Jack McMullen (The Souvenir, Ford v Ferrari), Jake Short (SuperCool, This Is the Year), Paolo Sassanelli (The Teacher, Inspector Coliandro) and Theo Barklem Biggs (Sliced, White Gold) are set to star in BBC Two's comedy series The First Team (formerly known as Afternoons).

My5 Acquires Royal Family Drama ‘The Royals’

The Royals has landed a third UK home. Channel 5's VOD service My5 has acquired E!'s royal family drama series starring Elizabeth Hurley after striking a deal with international distributor Lionsgate Worldwide Television Distribution Group. The show's first two seasons will be available on My5 from next month.

BBC One has set the cast for Worzel Gummidge. Zoë Wanamaker (Harry Potter And The Philosophers Stone), Sir Michael Palin (Monty Python), Vicki Pepperdine (The Windsors), Steve Pemberton (Benidorm), Rosie Cavaliero (Gentleman Jack), India Brown (Hetty Feather) and newcomer Thierry Wickens are set to star opposite Mackenzie Crook (The Pirates Of The Caribbean) in the two-part adaptation of the books by Barbara Euphan Todd.

Channel 4 Releases Trailer For ‘The Accident’

Channel 4 has released the trailer for their upcoming Jack Thorne drama The Accident (formerly known as The Light). The Accident is set in the fictional Welsh town of Glyngolau and explores a forgotten community devastated by disaster. An explosion on the construction site of a much-needed and sought-after regeneration project in this “left-behind” town claims the lives of many children who have broken into the building site to make mischief.
