BBC One Releases First Look Images For ‘A Suitable Boy’

BBC One has releases two first look images from their upcoming Vikram Seth adaptation A Suitable Boy. A Suitable Boy tells the story of spirited university student Lata; coming of age in North India in 1951 at the same time as the country is carving out its own identity as an independent nation and is about to go to the polls for its first democratic general election. Lata’s mother is determined to find her a husband – a suitable boy – but Lata, torn between family duty and the excitement of romance, embarks on her own, epic journey of love and self-discovery.

The Ink Factory Hires Katerine Butler As Creative Director

The Night Manager and The Little Drummer Girl indie The Ink Factory has hired former Raw and Film4 exec Katherine Butler to serve in the newly created role of Creative Director. Butler will report to The Ink Factory co-founders and co-CEOs Stephen and Simon Cornwell.

My5 Orders ‘Home And Away: Christmas In Summer Bay’

Fresh off of ordering a spin-off of Neighbours, My5 is going down a similar route for fellow Australian series Home And Away. Channel 5's VOD service has commissioned Home And Away: Christmas In Summer Bay, a series of six behind-the scenes Christmas specials. Home And Away: Christmas In Summer Bay goes behind the scenes of the show, as the cast spend time with their on-screen families during the festive season. Each episode will provide a rare glimpse into the inner workings of Home And Away, including behind the scenes footage and plenty of nostalgia, as the cast reminisce about their favorite clips from the past.

BBC One Renews ‘Shetland’ For Two More Seasons

BBC One has renewed their Douglas Henshall fronted drama series Shetland for two more seasons. The show's sixth and seventh seasons will each consist of six episodes. The new seasons were commissioned by the BBC's Controller of Drama Piers Wenger and the BBC's Director of Content Charlotte Moore.

Amazon Prime Video Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Outlander’ Season 5

The fifth season of Outlander will receive its UK premiere on Amazon Prime Video UK on Monday February 17th, it has been announced. New episodes will then continue to be made available to UK Prime subscribers every Monday, less than 24 hours after they initially air on Starz in the United States.

People Just Do Nothing is heading to cinemas. The BBC Three series is getting a feature film adaptation, titled People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan. This marks the second BBC Three comedy to be developed into a feature film, following in the footsteps of Jack Whitehall's Bad Education in 2015.
