BBC One Bringing Back Kay Mellor’s ‘The Syndicate’ For Fourth Season

After putting the series "on hold" in 2016, BBC One is bringing back Kay Mellor's lottery drama The Syndicate for a fourth season. BritBox North America is on-board as the U.S. and Canadian broadcast partner. Created by Kay Mellor, The Syndicate follows the lives of a group of ordinary people who hit it big with a lottery jackpot. The first three seasons aired on BBC One between 2012 and 2015. An anthology series, the cast and setting changes each season.

BBC Two Picks Up ‘Mandy’ For Full Series

After piloting the project last year as a comedy short, BBC Two has picked up a full series of Diane Morgan's Mandy. Six episodes, running fifteen minutes each, have been commissioned for the show's first season.

Silent Witness is losing two of its main cast members. Liz Carr and Richard Lintern have exited the BBC's long-running crime drama following the season 23 finale, which aired last night. Carr joined the series in season 16 as Clarissa Mullery, while Richard Lintern has played Dr Thomas Chamberlain since season 17.

Endor Productions Hire FNG’s Sara Johnson As Creative Director

Red Arrow Studios backed indie Endor Productions has hired former Fox Networks Group Europe & Africa's Vice-President of Scripted Sara Johnson to serve as Creative Director. The company, which specialises in scripted content, is led by MD Hilary Bevan Jones and has produced such efforts as ORF and ZDF's Vienna Blood (later acquired by BBC Two), Fox Networks Group's Deep State, and forthcoming BBC One drama But When We Dance.

BBC One Renews ‘Silent Witness’ For Two More Seasons

The BBC is extending the run of Silent Witness to a quarter of a century. BBC One has renewed the long-running crime drama for an additional two seasons - the show's twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth. The renewal comes on the heels of the show's twenty-third season wrapping it's ten episode run. Season 23 was a rating success foor BBC One, averaging over 7 million viewers per week and ranking as one of the iPlayer’s most-requested shows.
