History Acquires UK Rights To ‘Texas Rising’, Sets January Premiere

History has closed a deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to miniseries Texas Rising, TVWise has learned. The ten hour mini, which was originally produced for the US History network, will premiere on History UK on Tuesday January 5th at 10pm.

E4 Acquires UK Rights To Short-Lived NBC Comedy Series ‘A To Z’

EXCLUSIVE: NBC's short-lived comedy A To Z is coming to the UK. E4 has acquired the UK rights to the 13 episode series starring Cristin Milioti and Ben Feldman after striking a deal with international distributor Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, TVWise has learned. The show's first season is expected to premiere on E4 later this month.

BBC Two Developing Catherine Bailey Adaptation ‘The Secret Rooms’

The BBC has put into development The Secret Rooms, an adaptation of the gothic novel of the same name by Catherine Bailey, TVWise has learned exclusively. Sources tell TVWise that the project is in development for BBC Two, though I have yet to hear confirmation on that. Representatives of the BBC did not immediately respond to TVWise's requests for comment.

Those shows include The CW's eagerly anticipated Arrow and The Flash spin-off DC's Legends Of Tomorrow, starring Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz and Victor Garber; Canadian sci-fi drama Killjoys starring Warehouse 13's Aaron Ashmore, which airs on Syfy in the United States; and ABC new period crime drama Wicked City.
