History Acquires UK Rights To ‘Texas Rising’, Sets January Premiere

History has closed a deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to miniseries Texas Rising, TVWise has learned. The ten hour mini, which was originally produced for the US History network, will premiere on History UK on Tuesday January 5th at 10pm.

E4 has acquired the UK rights to the 13 episode series starring Cristin Milioti and Ben Feldman after striking a deal with international distributor Warner Bros. EXCLUSIVE: The Beeb has zeroed in on their next literary adaptation. The BBC has put into development The Secret Rooms, an adaptation of the gothic novel of the same name by Catherine Bailey, TVWise has learned exclusively. Sources tell TVWise that the project is in development for BBC Two, though I have yet to hear confirmation on that. Representatives of the BBC did not immediately respond to TVWise's requests for comment.
