UKTV's Drama channel has snapped up the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to period drama The Pinkertons after agreeing a deal with international distributor Zodiak Rights. Across 2014, UKTV saw its average audience share across its 10 channels grow to 5.07%, up by 8.5% on the 4.67% audience share that the network registered in 2013. Meanwhile, on the back of that ratings growth, UKTV also saw their SOCI (share of commercial impacts) surge to 9%, up fairly considerably on last year's record of 8.2%. Amazon Prime Instant Video UK has struck a deal with international distributor eOne (Entertainment One) for the exclusive first run rights to AMC dramas Turn: Washington's Spies and Halt & Catch Fire, as well as SundanceTV's The Red Road and DirecTV's Rogue, TVWise has learned.
