Sony Entertainment Television Retains UK Rights To ‘Community’

Community S6Sony Entertainment Television has picked up the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to the upcoming sixth season of the former NBC comedy after agreeing a deal with sister company Sony Pictures Television. The sixth season of Community will premiere on Sony Entertainment Television on Wednesday March 18th at 10:05pm - less than 24 hours behind the broadcast on Yahoo Screen in the US.

Lifetime UK has picked up the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to Flowers In The Attic 3: If There Be Thorns and Flowers In The Attic 4: Seeds Of Yesterday, the final two entries in the TV movie franchise starring Dylan Bruce, Heather Graham, Ellen Burstyn, Rose McIver, Mason Dye and Kiernan Shipka, TVWise has learned exclusively.

E! Picks Up UK Rights To Scripted Drama ‘The Royals’, Sets Premiere For March 25th

E! UK has closed a deal with Lionsgate Television to pick up the exclusive first run UK rights to The Royals, the 10 episode scripted drama about the British royal family starring Elizabeth Hurley and Vincent Regan. The series, which has already been renewed for a second season, is set to premiere on the channel on Wednesday March 25th at 9pm.

UKTV’s Drama Channel Acquires NBC’s ‘Crusoe’, ‘Pinocchio’ Mini & ‘A Bear Named Winnie’

Drama is adding three high profile titles to their line-up. The UKTV owned and operated channel has struck a deal with the London based independent distributor Power for the UK rights to Crusoe, the 13 episode NBC drama starring Sean Bean and Phillip Winchester; a two-part Pinocchio miniseries; and World War 1 drama A Bear Named Winnie starring Stephen Fry and Michael Fassbender.
