Syfy Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Lost Girl’ Season 5, Sets October Premiere

Syfy UK has acquired the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to the show's 16 episode final run after striking a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television, TVWise has learned. The final season will premiere on Syfy UK on Tuesday October 13th at 9pm.

Criminal Minds: Beyond BordersUKTV is expanding their relationship with Disney. The commercial network, which is a joint venture between BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks Interactive, has sealed a deal with Disney Media Distribution for the exclusive UK rights to Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, FBI drama Quantico and medical drama Code Black. Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders and Code Black will air on Watch, while Quantico will air on Alibi.

FOX Acquires UK Rights To ‘Jack Irish’ Series, Eyes 2016 Premiere

FOX UK is sticking with Jack Irish. The Fox International Channels backed broadcaster has closed a deal with DCD Rights to acquire the first full season of Jack Irish, which was commissioned by Australian public broadcaster ABC with a six episode order late last year.

Ahead of the channel's launch later this week, AMC UK is adding two exclusive acquisitions to their drama slate. AMC UK has acquired the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to the first two seasons of WGN America atomic bomb period drama Manhattan, and all eight seasons of Showtime's dark-comedy series Weeds - the final two seasons of which have never aired on UK television following Sky Atlantic's decision to drop the series in 2013. Both Manhattan and Weeds were acquired in a deal with Lionsgate Television.
