EXCLUSIVE: Sky1 Closes In On Deal For UK Rights To ‘The X-Files’ Revival

EXCLUSIVE: Mulder and Scully are returning to their long-time UK home. TVWise understands that Sky1 - who held first window rights on the first nine seasons of the show - is close to a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to Fox’s six episode The X-Files revival series. Representatives of Sky declined to comment.

Netflix Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 5, Sets September Premiere

After acquiring and streaming the show's third and fourth seasons, Netflix UK has extended their deal with Disney Media Distribution and picked up the exclusive UK rights to the fifth season of ABC's drama series Once Upon A Time. Season 5 will premiere on Netflix on Wednesday September 30th, with new episodes being made available every Wednesday, mere days after they air on ABC in the United States.

FOX Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Marvel’s Agent Carter’ Season 2

FOX UK has picked up the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to the second season of ABC's drama series Marvel's Agent Carter after reaching a deal with international distributor Disney Media Distribution, TVWise has learned. FOX UK is fast-tracking the second season and will air it close behind the US broadcast on ABC in early 2016.

Channel 5 has secured FTA rights, while the NBCU owned Movies 24 has acquired the pay window.
