Months After Cancelling It, Sky One Acquires ‘Agatha Raisin’

Well we've come full circle with Agatha Raisin. Months after Sky One officially cancelled the series, prompting U.S. co-production partner Acorn TV to step up and fully commission a second season, Sky One has pre-bought the UK rights to the new season. The deal was struck between Sky and international distributor All3Media International. Sky has also taken rights to the new season in Eire.

BBC Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Killing Eve’ Season 2

Following on from the successful launch of season one, the BBC has secured the UK rights to the second season of Phoebe Waller-Bridge's BBC America series Killing Eve from international distributor Endeavor Content. As was the case with season one, the show's second season will air in a linear slot on BBC One and stream as a box-set on BBC Three. Production on season two is now underway ahead of a 2019 premiere.

Sony Pictures Television Takes International Distribution Rights To Hulu’s ‘Into The Dark’

Sony Pictures Television has acquired international distribution rights to Into The Dark, Hulu's year-round event series which hails from Blumhouse Television. Into The Dark is a horror anthology series consisting of twelve self contained feature-length episodes that explores the dark side of humanity. The series premiered state-side on October 5th, with an episode set to roll out every month - each inspired by a distinct holiday, often with social commentary woven throughout.

Sky Witness Acquires UK Rights To ABC’s Nathan Fillion Drama ‘The Rookie’ In Deal With eOne

Nathan Fillion's new ABC drama The Rookie is coming to the UK. Sky Witness has secured the exclusive UK rights to the procedural after striking a deal with international distributor Entertainment One (eOne). The acquisition underpins Sky's commitment to spend millions on U.S. procedurals for the recently rebranded channel. A UK premiere date has not yet been set.

Universal TV Acquires UK Rights To CBC’s M.R. Hall Adaptation ‘Coroner’

Coroner is crossing the pond. NBCU's flagship UK channel Universal TV has acquired the UK rights to the eight episode M.R. Hall adaptation which is being produced for Canadian public broadcaster CBC. The series, toplined by Serinda Swan (Ballers), is expected to premiere in 2019.

EXCLUSIVE: FOX UK has secured the UK rights to TBS' sci-fi comedy People Of Earth, which hails from Conan O'Brien and Greg Daniels, after striking a deal with international distributor Warner Bros. Universal TV Acquires UK Rights To Audience’s Spy Thriller ‘Condor’

SYFY UK Drops ’12 Monkeys’ After Three Seasons

EXCLUSIVE: Bad news for 12 Monkeys fans. I've learned that SYFY UK has opted not to acquire the fourth and final season of the sci-fi series from their sister company NBCUniversal International Distribution. It is not immediately clear if either Netflix UK or Amazon Prime Video UK - both of whom hold SVOD rights to the first three seasons - will swoop for the final season.
