BBC Two Acquires Hulu’s 9/11 Event Series ‘The Looming Tower’

EXCLUSIVE: The Looming Tower has found a second UK home. BBC Two has acquired the linear rights to Hulu's 9/11 event series starring Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom). Legendary Television, who produced the series for Hulu, handle international distribution.

Amazon Prime Video UK Acquires ‘Farscape’ & Mini-Series ‘The Peacekeeper Wars’

Amazon Prime Video UK has secured the streaming rights to all four seasons of Farscape and the two-part follow up mini-series Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars from The Jim Henson Company. Amazon has also secured rights in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Nordics and several other countries. The series will debut on the streaming service on Tuesday March 19th - marking the twentieth anniversary of Farscape.

Amazon Prime Video Picks Up UK Rights To ‘American Gods’ Season 3

Amazon is sticking with American Gods. Amazon Prime Video UK has picked up the exclusive UK rights to the recently ordered third season of the Starz original drama. The show's second season started airing on the streaming service last week. The pick up is part of a wider agreement inked by Amazon which will see them continue as the international broadcaster for American Gods in more than than 200 countries and territories worldwide. FremantleMedia International is the distributor.

StarzPlay Acquires UK Rights To ‘The White Queen’ & ‘The White Princess’ Follow Up ‘The Spanish Princess’

The White Princess follow up The Spanish Princess has found a UK home. StarzPlay - the streaming service that is now available on both Amazon Prime Video Channels and Virgin Media - has secured the UK rights to the limited series starring Charlotte Hope (Game Of Thrones). The Spanish Princess will premiere on StarzPlay on Sunday May 5th, when the first episode will be available to stream. New episodes will then continue to made available every Sunday - the same day that they air on Starz state-side.

Paramount Network Acquires UK Rights To ‘Yellowstone’

Yellowstone is crossing the pond. Paramount Network has secured the UK rights to the Kevin Costner fronted drama series. The deal covers the first two seasons of the show. 101 Studios and Endeavor Content are handling international distribution.

Channel 4 Picks Up UK Rights To ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Season 3

Channel 4 has secured the UK rights to the third season of Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale from international distributor MGM Worldwide Television Distribution. The show's third season will premiere on the main channel later this year. In the meantime, the second season will be getting a repeat run on More4 from Thursday March 14th.

5USA Acquires NBCU’s Chris Noth FBI Drama ‘Gone’

5USA has acquired the Chris Noth fronted FBI drama Gone after striking a deal with international distributor NBCUniversal International Distribution. The show's twelve episode first season will premiere on the channel next month.

E4 Inks Sony Pictures Television Deal For Future Seasons Of ‘The Goldbergs’, Acquires Spin-Off ‘Schooled’

The Goldbergs is staying put on E4. The Channel 4 owned digi-net has inked a new deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television and picked up the UK rights to future seasons of the ABC comedy. Additionally, E4 has acquired The Goldbergs' 1990s set spin-off Schooled. The sixth season of The Goldbergs is presently airing on E4 and Schooled will launch on the channel next month.
