Sky Witness Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Chicago Med’, Sky One Acquires NBC’s ‘Manifest’

Chicago Med is switching UK channels. Sky Witness has picked up the UK rights to the series, after the show's first four seasons aired on Universal TV. Seasons one through four are now available via Sky On-Demand. Additionally, Sky One has also secured the UK rights to Manifest, NBC's thriller series starring Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas. Warner Bros. International Television Distribution handles sales for Manifest.

Alibi Acquires BBC America Police Drama ‘Copper’ In Deal With Cineflix Rights

UKTV's Alibi channel has acquired the former BBC America police drama Copper in a deal with Cineflix Rights. The show's first season is expected to premiere on Alibi in August. Both seasons of the show originally aired in the UK on Amazon Prime Video UK (then known as LOVEFiLM).

Syfy UK Acquires ‘Stargate Atlantis’ For Summer Schedule

Stargate Atlantis is returning to UK TV screens. Syfy UK has acquired the second TV series in the Stargate franchise, which originally aired for five seasons on Syfy state-side between 2004 and 2009. MGM Worldwide Television Distribution handles international distribution. Stargate Atlantis is planned as a key-part of Syfy UK's summer schedule alongside the second season of Stargate co-creator Dean Devlin's fantasy series The Outpost, and the final season of Syfy's bounty hunter space drama Killjoys.

FOX UK Acquires ‘Bad Boys’ Spin-Off ‘L.A.’s Finest’ In Deal With SPT

L.A.'s Finest has landed with a UK broadcaster. FOX UK has acquired the UK rights to the Bad Boys spin-off, starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba, after striking a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television. The series is expected to premiere on FOX UK next month. “We’re excited to have Fox Networks Group on board and think this action-packed series will be a great fit for their audience,” said Holly Comiskey, Senior Vice-President of Distribution & Networks for Sony Pictures Televison, UK and Ireland.

Amazon Prime Video UK Drops TNT’s ‘Animal Kingdom’

EXCLUSIVE: Animal Kingdom has lost its UK broadcaster. Sources are telling TVWise that Amazon Prime Video has opted not to renew their licensing agreement for the Ellen Barkin fronted drama. Warner Bros. International Television Distribution handles global sales.

5USA Acquires ‘Ransom’ In Deal With eOne

Ransom is heading to free-to-air. Channel 5 has closed a deal with eOne to pick up the FTA rights to the hostage crisis drama series for their dig-net 5USA. The series will launch on 5USA next month.
