Syfy UK Acquires ‘Vagrant Queen’, Sets April Premiere
Vagrant Queen is crossing the pond. Syfy UK has acquired the UK rights to the Syfy original series in a deal with international distributor Dynamic Television. The show's first season will premiere on Wednesday April 15th at 9pm. Based on the Vault Comics series by Magdalene Visaggio and Jason Smith, Vagrant Queen follows Elida from child queen to orphaned outcast, as she scavenges the treacherous corners of the galaxy, always one step ahead of the Republic government out to extinguish her bloodline. 
Future Man is switching broadcasters here in the UK. Amazon Prime Video UK has secured the rights to Hulu's sci-fi series in a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television. The pick up comes after Syfy UK
UKTV's Alibi channel has secured the UK rights to ABC's Cobie Smulders (Marvel's The Avengers, How I Met Your Mother) fronted drama series Stumptown after striking a deal with international distributor Disney Media Distribution. The show's eighteen episode first season is being eyed for an April premiere.
As part of a bumper deal with Disney Media Distribution, UKTV's Alibi channel has secured the UK rights to ABC's short-lived Poppy Montgomery drama series Reef Break, and the third season of the Ioan Gruffudd fronted Harrow. The deal also covers ABC's Stumptown.
Emergence is crossing the pond. FOX UK has secured the UK rights to ABC's drama series after striking a deal with international distributor Disney Media Distribution. The series will premiere on FOX UK on Monday April 20th at 9pm.
Miss Fisher is returning to Alibi. The UKTV owned and operated channel has secured the exclusive UK rights to Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries feature film Miss Fisher And The Crypt Of Tears. All3Media International handles global sales for the film. It is being eyed for an April premiere.
Netflix is not getting any of the Power spin-offs. StarzPlay has secured the UK rights to all four spin-offs (Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Power Book IV: Influence, and Power Book V: Force). They will be made available to stream for UK StarzPlay subscribers day-and-date with the U.S. premiere on Starz.
Channel 4 and Sony Pictures Television have struck a deal and yadda yadda yadda Seinfeld now has a UK home on All 4. The streaming service has acquired UK rights to all nine seasons and will make the first three seasons available on Friday February 7th. Subsequent seasons will be made available every Friday until the launch of season nine in mid-March. This will mark the first time that the award winning comedy series has been available to stream for free in the UK. Amazon Prime Video UK previously held SVOD rights to Seinfeld.
