Acorn TV To Launch In The UK On April 29th, ‘Queens Of Mystery’ To Get UK Premiere On Streaming Service

Acorn TV is coming to the UK. The AMC Networks owned streaming service has announced plans to launch in the UK on Wednesday April 29th. The service will be priced at £4.99 per month or £49.99 annually and will be available via acorn.tv, Roku, Fire TV, Android and Apple mobile and Apple TV. It will also launch shortly on Amazon Channels and Apple TV Channels. Acorn TV original series Queens Of Mysteries will get its UK premiere on the service.

StarzPlay Acquires UK Rights To ‘Manhunt: Deadly Games’

StarzPlay has secured the UK rights to Deadly Games - the second season of the true crime anthology series Manhunt. All ten episodes will be available to stream on Thursday April 23rd. This marks the third UK home for Manhunt. Discovery Channel UK initially picked up UK rights to the original Unabomber season, before Netflix UK swooped in and landed first run SVOD rights.

BBC Picks Up UK Rights To ‘Killing Eve’ Season 4

The BBC has secured the UK rights to the recently ordered fourth season of Killing Eve for both BBC One and BBC Three after striking a deal with international distributor Endeavor Content. The pick up comes shortly after the BBC announced that they were fast tracking the UK broadcast of season three, which will premiere on BBC Three on Monday April 13th - mere hours behind the U.S. debut.

Syfy UK Acquires ‘Vagrant Queen’, Sets April Premiere

Vagrant Queen is crossing the pond. Syfy UK has acquired the UK rights to the Syfy original series in a deal with international distributor Dynamic Television. The show's first season will premiere on Wednesday April 15th at 9pm. Based on the Vault Comics series by Magdalene Visaggio and Jason Smith, Vagrant Queen follows Elida from child queen to orphaned outcast, as she scavenges the treacherous corners of the galaxy, always one step ahead of the Republic government out to extinguish her bloodline.

Amazon Prime Video Poaches UK Rights To Hulu’s ‘Future Man’ In Deal With Sony Pictures Television

Future Man is switching broadcasters here in the UK. Amazon Prime Video UK has secured the rights to Hulu's sci-fi series in a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television. The pick up comes after Syfy UK served as the UK broadcaster the show's first two seasons. The first two seasons are now available to stream for UK Prime members, while the final season will premiere on Saturday April 4th - less than 24 hours after it launches on Hulu state-side.

UKTV’s Alibi Channel Acquires UK Rights To ABC’s ‘Stumptown’

UKTV's Alibi channel has secured the UK rights to ABC's Cobie Smulders (Marvel's The Avengers, How I Met Your Mother) fronted drama series Stumptown after striking a deal with international distributor Disney Media Distribution. The show's eighteen episode first season is being eyed for an April premiere.
