ITV Releases Trailer For 'Bancroft' Season 2 – TVWise

ITV has released the trailer for the second season of Bancroft, which is set to premiere in early 2020.
Bancroft explores what happens when heinous crimes, long buried in the past, come back to haunt us. It follows Elizabeth Bancroft, a respected DCI who has given her life to the police force. Trusted and adored by her colleagues, promotion to Detective Chief Superintendent looks assured. The drama series, which was created by Kate Brooke, is produced by Tall Story Pictures and stars Sarah Parish, Adrian Edmondson, Adam Long, Lee Boardman, Charles Babalola, Ryan McKen, Shameem Ahmad, Charlotte Hope, David Avery and Jacqueline Boatswain.
In season two, Bancroft is at the height of her career. However, her success comes at a price. She’s isolated and estranged from her beloved son, Joe, facing increasing pressure as a result of her dangerous pact with crime boss Daanish Kamara and is forever under the watchful eye of Superintendent Cliff Walker who strongly believe she’s corrupt and should be exposed as such. When Joe is implicated in a disturbing double murder case, Bancroft’s personal and professional life come crashing down around her. She is determined to protect her son, but in doing so finds herself up against a chilling new antagonist. With threats closing in from all sides, the repercussions of her past actions will come back to haunt her in ways she could never have expected.
