Dominic Treadwell-Collins is heading to ITV Studios. The former Head of Television for Blueprint Pictures is setting up a new scripted label with the company. The new label will focus on creating high-end returning series for the UK and international market and will be based out of ITV Studios’ London headquarters.
Treadwell-Collins will work with with both new and established talent at the new label. He will serve as showrunner across his own projects, whilst also executive producing all shows produced by the label. ITV Studios will handle global sales for the label’s productions.
At Blueprint Pictures, Treadwell-Collins put together and oversaw A Very English Scandal, written by Russell T Davies, directed by Stephen Frears and starring Hugh Grant and Ben Whishaw. Prior to that, he served as the executive producer on EastEnders for four years; and was Head of Development for Kudos’ Lovely Day, where he developed ITV’s Grantchester and Patrick Gale’s BBC drama Man In An Orange Shirt.
“I’m very excited finally to be returning to the ITV family after my first job in television on Midsomer Murders twenty years ago”, Dominic Treadwell-Collins said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to getting back to showrunning and being at the creative coal face again with my own label, making television with the audience, as always, at the heart of everything I do.”
