Jetpack Distribution has secured the international distribution rights to The Baby Club, a kids series that airs in the UK on CBeebies. Jetpack will present the series to international buyers at MIPCOM and MIPJUNIOR.
The Baby Club replicates the activities of community baby groups all over the world. Each show is hosted by influencer and author Giovanna Fletcher or TV presenter Nigel Clarke who welcome six babies and their grown-ups and lead on-screen activities, while encouraging viewers to join in at home.
The series is rooted in academic research, modelling how vital parent-baby attachment is to a child’s development.
Baby Bear and Baby Tiger join the presenters as soft toys and are brought to life in simple animation. In each episode parents, carers and their babies play together while exploring everyday objects through fun activities, catchy songs and simple stories. It is produced by Three Arrows Media in association with Tiny House Productions and CMP Productions.
“We’re thrilled to bring The Baby Club to Cannes. It’s a great idea to target very young kids and their parents. We loved the idea of parents and kids watching this together and both getting so much from the experience”, said Jetpack CEO Dominic Gardiner. “The series is doing very well in the UK and so we are sure there is a market for The Baby Club globally. We’ve known the producers a long time and they are very experienced in the preschool genre, so we’re delighted to be working with them!”
