Apple TV+ has released the trailer for their upcoming period comedy Dickinson, which is set to premiere later this year.
Dickinson is set in the nineteenth century and takes viewers into the world of Emily Dickinson, audaciously exploring the constraints of society, gender, and family through the perspective of a budding writer who doesn’t fit in to her own time through her imaginative point of view. “Dickinson” is Emily’s coming-of-age story – one woman’s fight to get her voice heard.
The comedy series is produced by wiip, Anonymous Content and Sugar23 Productions and stars Hailee Steinfeld (Pitch Perfect 3, True Grit, The Edge of Seventeen), Jane Krakowski (30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Toby Huss (Halloween, King Of The Hill, Halt And Catch Fire), Adrian Blake Enscoe (Groove, Seeds), Anna Baryshnikov (The Kindergarten Teacher, Manchester By The Sea) and Ella Hunt (Anna And The Apocalypse). Alena Smith created the series and serves as an executive producer alongside Paul Lee, Alex Goldstone, Ashley Zalta, David Gordon Green, Michael Sugar and Darlene Hunt.
