Hallmark has handed out an early sixth season renewal to their hit Catherine Bell fronted drama series Good Witch. Original cast member Bailee Madison, who has played Grace Nightingale since season one, will be exiting the series ahead of season six.
Good Witch follows Cassie Nightingale, a witch residing in a haunted house in small town America who can never predict what excitement will brew in her life with her enchanting daughter, Grace and handsome neighbour, Dr Sam Radford.
The drama series, which is a follow up to Hallmark’s TV movie franchise, is produced by Whizbang Films in association with ITV Studios America and stars Catherine Bell, James Denton and Bailee Madison. ITV Studios Global Entertainment handles international sales for the series and has deals for Good Witch with both Netflix UK (first window) and Movies 24 (linear rights).
“Once again, being the No. 1 series in cable, we are thrilled to announce a Season 6 pickup of Good Witch”. Michelle Vicary, Crown Media Family Networks’ Executive Vice-President of Programming & Publicity told Deadline, who broke the news of the renewal. “Bailee Madison will always be a beloved member of the Hallmark family.”
