Channel 5 Orders Crime Fighting Documentary Series 'The Bust' From BBC Studios – TVWise

Channel 5 has ordered The Bust, a four episode crime fighting documentary series from BBC Studios Unscripted Productions.
“This dynamic new series will thrill Channel 5 viewers with a dramatic and fascinating new perspective on modern British crime fighting”, said Channel 5 Commissioning Editor Adrian Padmore.
The Bust explores the frontline of Britain’s biggest crime raids. It offers a glimpse into the illicit world of hoodlums, fraudsters and career criminals and the teams who bring them to justice.
Producers have secured access to a wide variety of police forces, law enforcement agencies and local authorities who are carrying out raids daily. Using the latest technology, the series will be at the heart of the action and privy to the meticulous planning and intelligence-gathering behind the operations.
“We are really excited about The Bust, which will give viewers unique access to those fighting crime on the front-line and we’re delighted that Unscripted Productions in Cardiff has secured a further BBC Studios Channel 5 commission”, said Jon Swain, Head of BBC Studios Unscripted Productions.
While executive producer Joe Mather added: “This series not only reveals the heart stopping moments when specialist enforcement teams strike but also the painstaking and fascinating work that goes into gathering the critical evidence needed to take such drastic action. ”
