BBC One Sets Premiere Date For 'Hold The Sunset' Season 2 – TVWise

The second season of Hold The Sunset will premiere on BBC One on Friday August 2nd at 9pm, it has been announced.
Hold The Sunset tells the story of Phil and Edith, who are set to marry, up sticks and move abroad to the sunshine. But then Edith’s 50 year old son Roger announces that he’s left his wife, his kids and his good job at the bank, and come home in an attempt to find his lost happiness again. And in a blink, to Edith’s dismay and Phil’s fury, all dreams are on hold.
The comedy series is produced by BBC Studios and stars Alison Steadman, John Cleese, Jason Watkins and Rosie Cavaliero. Sue Johnston is joining the cast for the show’s second season as Edith’s impossible sister Joan. Other cast additions include Christian Brassington as hopeless estate agent Percy, and Shauna MacDonald as Bob’s irrepressible and individual daughter Georgie. BBC Studios Head of Comedy Chris Sussman is the executive producer.
