Amazon Prime Video UK has released the trailer for Star Trek: Picard, which is set to premiere in 2020.
Star Trek: Picard follows Jean-Luc Picard in the next chapter of his life. The drama series is being produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment and stars Sir Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Harry Treadaway (Penny Dreadful), Isa Briones (American Crime Story: Versace), Santiago Cabrera (Salvation), Evan Evagora, and Michelle Hurd (Blindspot).
Alex Kurtzman, Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman, James Duff, Sir Patrick Stewart, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers. Chabon is the showrunner. Aaron Baiers (Secret Hideout) will serve as co-executive producer and Kirsten Beyer (Star Trek: Discovery) will serve as supervising producer. Production on the series is underway in Los Angeles.
The trailer was first unveiled yesterday by CBS during the Star Trek Universe panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic Con. At said panel, it was also announced that Trek veterans Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Jeri Ryan and Jonathan Del Arco would guest star on Picard. You can catch a glimpse of Jeri Ryan and Brent Spiner reprising their roles as Seven of Nine and Data in the trailer.
