Sky One Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘S.W.A.T.’ Season 2 – TVWise

The second season of S.W.A.T. will receive its UK premiere on Sky One on Sunday June 23rd at 9pm, it has been announced.
S.W.A.T. tells the story of former Marine Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, a locally born S.W.A.T. sergeant newly tasked to run a specialized tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles. The drama series, which is based on the 1970s television series and feature film, is produced by Sony Pictures Television and CBS Television Studios and stars Shemar Moore, Stephanie Sigman, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Lina Esco, Kenny Johnson, Peter Onorati, David Lim and Patrick St. Esprit.
In the opening episode of season two, titled Shaky Town, the SWAT team engages in a standoff with human traffickers holding child hostages when a major earthquake hits Los Angeles during their operation and compromises the takedown. Also, while Hondo forms an unexpected personal connection with Deputy District Attorney Nia Wells (Nikiva Dionne), Jim Street has trouble adjusting to his new life as a patrol officer. The executive producers are Aaron Rahsaan Thomas, Shawn Ryan, Justin Lin, Neal Moritz, Marney Hochman, Danielle Woodrow, Pavun Shetty, Allison Cross, Craig Gore, Billy Gierhart and Andy Dettman. CBS has already renewed the series for a third season.
