TLC UK has ordered Countdown To I Do, a six episode short-form wedding series for distribution on YouTube. It will premiere exclusively on TLC UK’s YouTube channel later this year.
Countdown To I Do is a self-shot format that follows couples on the biggest day of their lives. It is self-shot by the bride, groom, bridal party and selected guests who all have a key role to play in the couples’ big day.
The show captures the excitement, nerves, drama and humour of the wedding build up, as each episode starts just hours before the ceremony and finishes with ‘I do’. Shot using hand held Sony RX100 cameras, the self-shot format plays out like a collection of Instagram stories. The 6×8′ series is being produced by Studio71 and was commissioned by Discovery Network International’s Charlotte Reid. The executive producers are Deirdre Dowling for TLC UK and Jody Smith and Tom Payne for Studio71.
