It’s officially the end of the road for Wrecked. TBS has cancelled the half-hour deserted-island comedy after airing three ten-episode seasons. The writing had been on the wall from some time, with TBS having been silent on the show’s fate since season three wrapped its run last October.
Wrecked follows a diverse group of airplane passengers stranded on an uninhabited island, a dangerous new world where they must face many threats – mostly brought on by themselves. No longer plugged into the rest of the world, the group struggles to navigate their makeshift society while also learning to live without such modern comforts as indoor plumbing, wi-fi, social media and Chipotle.
The comedy series, which was created by Justin Shipley and Jordan Shipley, stars Asif Ali, Zach Cregger, Rhys Darby, Brooke Dillman, Ginger Gonzaga, Will Greenberg, Jessica Lowe, Ally Maki and Brian Sacca. Justin Shipley & Jordan Shipley, along with Jesse Hara and Moses Port are the executive producers.
Wrecked has thus far failed to score a UK deal and has not aired on this side of the pond. Turner controls international distribution rights.
