Hulu has renewed sci-fi comedy Future Man for a third and final season. Eight episodes have been ordered for the show’s final run, down from the thirteen episode orders for seasons one and two.
Future Man tells the story of Josh Futturman, a janitor by day/gamer by night who is recruited by mysterious visitors to travel through time in order to prevent the extinction of humanity.
The comedy series, which was created by Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir, is produced by Point Grey Pictures, Matt Tolmach Productions and Turkeyfoot Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television and stars Josh Hutcherson, Eliza Coupe, Derek Wilson and Haley Joel Osment. The executive producers are Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Matt Tolmach, James Weaver and Ben Karlin.
SYFY UK holds rights to Future Man on this side of the pond and have aired both seasons of the show.
