Navy SEALs drama series Six will premiere on History2 (formerly known as H2) on Saturday May 4th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Six follows members of Navy SEAL Team Six, modern American warriors, whose covert mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working with terrorists. Inspired by real missions, the series captures the inside world of America’s elite Special Operations unit – what these SEALs do, their personal lives, combat and the life-and-death decisions they make to protect and serve their country.
In season one, former SEAL Team Six troop leader Richard ‘Rip’ Taggart is captured by Boko Haram and it’s up to his former SEAL Team Six brothers to put their differences aside to locate and rescue their former troop leader. The drama series, which has already been picked up for an extended ten episode second season, was created by William Broyles and David Broyles, a military special operations veteran. It is produced by by A+E Studios and stars Walton Goggins, Barry Sloane, Kyle Schmid, Juan Pablo Raba, Edwin Hodge, Dominic Adams, Brianne Davis, Nadine Velazquez, Jaylen Moore, Donny Boaz and Nondumiso Tembe. The debut season has previously aired in the UK on both 5Spike and History UK.
