5Star’s ten part drama series Clink will premiere on Thursday April 18th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Clink tells the story of women thrust together by their life choices and the vagaries of the justice system, as they establish a sisterhood amongst the prison walls. Mum-to-be Chloe joins the troubled Laura, the maternal Joyce and self-appointed MVP Sherri. Presiding over the women is new governor Dominique Darby, whose ascent to the role under a cloud of tragedy is anything but ideal. Is she ready to cope with such a demanding position?
The ten episode drama series, which 5Star ordered last September as part of a multi-year drama partnership with Kew Media Group, is produced by LA Productions and stars Katherine Rose Morley, Florence Bell, Alicya Eyo, Trudie Goodwin, Christine Tremarco, Louisa Hollway, Kelli Hollis, Paul Broughton, Theo Graham, Jane Hazlegrove, Lu Corfield and Andrew Ellis. The series was commissioned by Channel 5’s Commissioning Executive Sebastian Cardwell. LA Productions’ Colin McKeown is the executive producer.
