BBC One Sets Premiere Date For 'The Victim' – TVWise

BBC One’s new drama series The Victim will premiere on BBC One on Monday April 8th at 9pm, it has been announced.
The Victim is a legal thriller set in Scotland that is told through the eyes of both the plaintiff and the accused. On one side is Craig Myers, a hard working family man who is the victim of a vicious attack, after being identified online as a notorious child murderer. Is he simply the tragic victim of mistaken identity; or the dangerous killer he is suspected of being?
On the other side is Anna Dean, whose nine year old son was murdered fifteen years ago. She is accused of revealing her son’s killer’s new identity online and conspiring to have him murdered. Has the anger of a grieving mother turned her into a criminal too? The series opens on day one of a criminal trial in Edinburgh’s High Court and follows the legal proceedings, whilst also covering the events leading up to the trial. Craig and Anna are pitted against each other, but our sympathies will be divided. The four-part drama, which was penned by Rob Williams, is being produced by STV Productions and stars Kelly Macdonald, John Hannah, James Harkness, Jamie Sives, Karla Crome, Ramon Tikaram, Cal MacAninch, Chloe Pirrie and Isis Hainsworth.
