After releasing a short teaser trailer earlier this month, BBC One has now released the full trailer for their upcoming The Missing spin-off Baptiste.
Baptiste follows the stubborn detective, who is on a visit to Amsterdam with his wife, when he is recruited by the Chief of Police – who also happens to be an old girlfriend – due to his renowned and methodical crime solving skills. Baptiste is rapidly embroiled in a case that looks beyond the beautiful streets, canals and houses of Amsterdam to the seamy underworld beneath.
The drama series, which is penned by The Missing co-creators Jack and Harry Williams, is produced by Two Brothers Pictures and stars Tchéky Karyo, Tom Hollander, Jessica Raine, Alec Secareanu, Clare Calbraith, Nicholas Woodeson, Anastasia Hille, Talisa Garcia, Barbara Sarafian, Boris Van Severen, and Martha Canga. The Williams brothers serve as executive producers alongside Christopher Aird for Two Brothers Pictures and Tommy Bulfin for the BBC. John Griffin is the series producer. Borkur Sigthorsson and Jan Matthys are the directors. All3Media are handling international sales. No word yet on a premiere date.
