ITV Studios' Production Soars To 8500 Hours In 2018 – TVWise

ITV Studios’ global production hit an all time high in 2018. Across their portfolio of international production labels they produced more 8500 hours of content – an all time high for the company. ITV Studios now has production bases in 12 countries with more than 50 labels supplying over 200 channels and platforms.
“The success of ITV Studios, first and foremost, flows from its talent and its creativity”, said Julian Bellamy, Managing Director of ITV Studios. “Great talent, developing and producing great shows in the right culture, is the first foundation stone on which everything else is built.
Love Island tripled its international production in 2018, with local versions on air in the UK, Germany, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Additionally, shows produced by ITV Studios labels accounted for five of the ten most watched programmes in the UK last year. Said shows were: Bodyguard, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Coronation Street, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, and Vera.
“We have all of these qualities and 2018 is a great example of that – Bodyguard, the highest rating drama in the UK, Love Island tripled the number of countries it is in in just one year and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, created by ITV Studios Entertainment, which became the most watched launch show of the year”, Bellamy continued.
ITV Studios is poised to continue their growth trajectory in 2019, with a catalogue of over 40,000 hours. The slate for next year includes World on Fire, Noughts and Crosses, Snowpiercer, Wild Bill, The Bay, Vernon Subutex and Zero, Zero, Zero and returning dramas Gomorrah, Suburra, Profilage and Line of Duty.
