DRG Lines Up Sales For UKTV Originals ‘Inside The Ambulance’, ‘Helicopter ER’, ‘Trauma Rescue Squad’ & More

DRG has lined up a slew of international sales for a number UKTV’s so-called “blue-light” factual series including Inside The AmbulanceHelicopter ERTrauma Rescue SquadCops, and Cop Car Workshop.

The fourth season of Inside The Ambulance has been licensed to Foxtel in Australia, TV4 in Sweden, S+ in Portugal and Alliant Content for Latin American and Indian VOD – all of who aired the previous three seasons in their respective markets. Sky TV in New Zealand has picked up seasons four through six. DRG will launch seasons seven and eight to international buyers at MIPTV later this year.

Both seasons of Helicopter ER has been sold to TV4 in Sweden, SKY TV in New Zealand, Vitaya in Belgium and Alliant Content for Australian and Indian VOD. DRG also recently licensed the show’s first season to Discovery Poland, Alliant Content for US/Canadian VOD, S+ in Portugal) and adRise for US VOD. Helicopter ER, which follows the work of flying doctors and paramedics of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service, is produced by Air Television for UKTV’s Really channel.

The first two seasons of Trauma Rescue Squad have been picked up by NTV in Japan, Spiegel TV in Germany, BBC Studios in Australia, S+ in Portugal, adRise for US VOD and SKY TV in New Zealand. In addition, SKY TV has pre-bought seasons three and four, which are due to launch later this year. Trauma Rescue Squad, which follows the often secretive work of the Hazardous Area Response Teams who deal with everything from toxic gas clouds to burning buildings, is produced by Air Television for UKTV’s Really channel.

Cops, which follows two British police forces using the latest in Bodycam technology to help them fight crime on the front lines, has been sold to TV2 in Norway, SKY TV in New Zealand, BBC Worldwide in Poland and Total Content for US VOD. They have picked up all three seasons of the show. Lastly, Cop Car Workshop, an obs-doc series that combines the realities of modern policing with top motor mechanics and engineering, has been sold to TVNZ in New Zealand, ProSieben in Germany, and Pluto TV in the United States. A second season of Cop Car Workshop is currently in production.
