Alibi Acquires UK Rights To 'Bite Club', Eyes February Premiere – TVWise

UKTV’s Alibi channel has secured the UK rights to Australian drama series Bite Club, starring Lost’s Dominic Monaghan, after striking a deal with international distributor Sony Pictures Television. While a firm launch date has not yet been set, it is presently eyed for a February premiere.
Bite Club follows two detectives who, after surviving a shark attack, join forces to hunt the ultimate predator, the serial killer who is also hunting them. The drama series is produced by Playmaker and stars Todd Lasance, Ash Ricardo, Damian Walshe-Howling, Deborah Mailman, Robert Mammone, Pia Miller, Marny Kennedy, Darcie Irwin-Simpson and Dominic Monaghan.
This marks the second Australian drama to find a UK home on Alibi. The UKTV owned and operated channel also holds the UK rights to the Ioan Gruffudd fronted medical drama Harrow, which returns for a second season later this year. Both shows form part of Alibi’s limited slate of first run scripted series, alongside Canadian dramas Frankie Drake Mysteries and Murdoch Mysteries (both of which UKTV co-produces).
