Sky One Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘MacGyver’ Season 3

The third season of MacGyver will receive its UK premiere on Sky One on Sunday December 30th at 8pm, it has been announced.

Described as a re-imagining of the television series of the same name, MacGyver follows a 20-something MacGyver as he creates a clandestine organization where he uses his knack for solving problems in unconventional ways to help prevent disasters from happening. The drama series is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Lionsgate Television and stars Lucas Till, George Eads, Justin Hires, Tristin Mays and Meredith Eaton.

In the opening episode of the show’s third season, titled Improvise, three months after quitting the Phoenix Foundation and moving to Nigeria, Mac puts aside his differences with his father and returns when he hears Jack is the target of a murderous dictator he double-crossed. Tate Donovan, Reign Edwards, David Dastmalchian and Kate Bond guest star. It was recently announced that former CSI alum George Eads, who stars in MacGyver as Jack Dalton, will be exiting the series this season.
