Hulu’s Stephen King series Castle Rock will receive its UK premiere on StarzPlay – which is available in the UK on Amazon Prime via Amazon Channels and is set to launch on Virgin Media next week – on Friday December 14th, it has been announced.
Castle Rock is described as a psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse that combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.
The drama series, which has already been renewed for a second season, is produced by Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and stars André Holland (Moonlight), Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness), Bill Skarsgård (IT), with Jane Levy (Suburgatory), Sissy Spacek (Carrie) and Scott Glenn (The Right Stuff). Castle Rock is based on characters and settings by Stephen King and was created by Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason. The pair who also serve as executive producers alongside J.J. Abrams, Stephen King, Ben Stephenson, Mark Lafferty and Liz Glotzer.
