BBC One has released a trailer for three-part drama Mrs Wilson, which is set to premiere late this year.
Mrs Wilson (formerly known as The Wilsons) is set between 1940s and 1960s London and follows Alison Wilson, who thinks she is happily married until her husband dies and a woman turns up on her doorstep claiming that she is the real Mrs. Wilson. Alison is determined to prove the validity of her own marriage – and Alec’s love for her – but is instead led into a world of disturbing secrets.
The three-part drama, which was penned by Indian Summers scribe Anna Symon, is being produced by Snowed-In Productions and co-produced by PBS Masterpiece and stars Ruth Wilson (The Affair), Iain Glen (Delicious), Keeley Hawes (The Durrells), Anupam Kher (The Boy With The Topknot) and Fiona Shaw (True Blood). Jackie Larkin is the series producer, while Richard Laxton is directing. The executive producers are Ruth Wilson, Ruth Kenley-Letts, Neil Blair, Lucy Richer and Rebecca Eaton. Northern Ireland Screen is providing funding support.
