James Cromwell (24, Murder In The First) has joined the cast of Epix’s spy thriller Berlin Station in a recurring role for the show’s upcoming third season. He will play Gilbert Dorn, a former CIA legend put out to pasture who appears on a podcast revealing information about past missions.
Berlin Station is set in the CIA’s office in Berlin, Germany and follows the activities of CIA operatives on a global stage amid investigations of moles, terrorists, corrupt politicians and more. The drama series is produced by Paramount Television and Anonymous Content and stars Richard Armitage, Richard Jenkins, Michelle Forbes, Rhys Ifans, Leland Orser, Ashley Judd, Keke Palmer and Ismael Cruz Córdova.
The show’s ten episode third season, which is currently in production in Budapest, takes place over the course of 11 days in Eastern and Central Europe as Chief of Station Valerie Edwards (Michelle Forbes) guides her team through the high-stakes relationship between Russia, the United States and its vulnerable NATO allies. Is the Kremlin involved in any foul play that could upend a thinly-held World Order?
Channel 4 recently acquired the series for their digi-net More4 in a deal with Paramount Pictures Worldwide Television Licensing & Distribution. The show’s first season is set to receive its UK premiere on More4 on Thursday October 25th at 9pm
