BBC One Sets Premiere Date For ‘Informer’

BBC One’s thriller series Informer will premiere on Tuesday October 16th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Informer follows Raza, a young, second generation Pakistani man from East London who is coerced by Gabe, a Counter-Terrorism officer to go undercover and inform for him. Gabe, who has a past he is unwilling to expose, is joined by Holly, his new and ambitious partner whose endless curiosity becomes threatening to him. As the central counterterrorism investigation heats up, the stakes for all three get higher and higher.

The six episode thriller series, which was penned by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani, is produced by Neal Street Productions and stars Paddy Considine, Bel Powley, Nabhaan Rizwan, Jessica Raine, Sharon D. Clarke, Sunetra Sarker and Roger Jean Nsengiyumva. The Casual Vacancy helmer Jonny Campbell is the director. The Fall‘s Julian Stevens is the series producer. The executive producers are Nicolas Brown, Sam Mendes and Julie Pastor for Neal Street Productions, and Elizabeth Kilgarriff for BBC One.
