Following this year’s successful revival of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? to mark the show’s 20th anniversary, ITV has renewed the series for a further ten episodes, once again hosted by Jeremy Clarkson. The new episodes are set to air in early 2019 and will be stripped over two weeks.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? offers members of the public the chance to win £1,000,000. Each contestant will have the opportunity to answer 15 questions on their way to winning the life changing prize, helped along the way by familiar lifelines of Ask The Audience; Phone a Friend; 50:50 and the return of new lifeline; Ask The Host.
“I absolutely loved hosting the anniversary shows and cannot wait to spend a few precious hours away from James May and Richard Hammond, making the new ones”, Jeremy Clarkson said in a statement.
The series is produced by Stellify Media and was commissioned by ITV’s Head of Entertainment Siobhan Greene and Comissioning Editor Ben Kelly. The executive producers are Fiona Clark and Stellify’s joint managing directors Kieran Doherty and Matthew Worth. Julia Knowles and Richard Valentin are directing. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? is a Sony Pictures Television format. Filming will take place in Manchester.
