The second season of Australian comedy series No Activity will receive its UK premiere on BBC Two on Sunday September 30th at 10:30pm with a double-bill, it has been announced.
No Activity is an improvised comedy that follows two detectives on a stakeout, waiting for the action to unfold – a look at what happens when nothing is happening. The comedy series, which was originally commissioned by Australian streaming service Stan, is created by Trent O’Donnell and stars Patrick Brammall, Darren Gilshenan, Daniel Wyllie, Harriet Dyer, Genevieve Morris and David Field.
The show’s six episode second season follows Detectives Stokes (Gilshenan) and Hendy (Brammall), who are back on stakeout duty after last season’s catastrophic raid. This time they’re assigned to the kidnapping of wealthy couple Elizabeth (Rose Byrne) and Bernie (Damon Herriman). Meanwhile Carol (Genevieve Morris) gets a new partner when April (Dyer) is promoted from Dispatch, and Bruce (David Field) and Jimmy (Dan Wyllie) are forced to come out of retirement. A Christmas special has been commissioned by Stan for broadcast later this year.
