BBC America’s Killing Eve will receive its UK premiere on BBC One on Saturday September 15th at 9:15pm, it has been announced.
Following the broadcast of the series premiere on BBC One, all 8 episodes will be made available to stream on BBC Three (via BBC iPlayer). The series will also continue to air in its Saturday slot on BBC One.
Killing Eve follows Eve, a bored MI5 security officer whose desk job does not fulfil her fantasies of being a spy. When Eve is tasked with tracking down Villanelle – a fearsome assassin clinging to the luxuries her violent job affords her – before she can strike again, the two women are thrown into a cat-and-mouse game that turns the traditional spy-thriller on its head.
The drama series, which was created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is produced by Sid Gentle Ltd and stars Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw, David Haig, Kim Bodnia, Darren Boyd, Sean Delaney, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Owen McDonnell. It is based on the novellas by Luke Jennings. The executive producers are Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Sally Woodward Gentle and Lee Morris. BBC America has already ordered a second season.
