DRG Racks Up Sales For Royal Programming – TVWise

The recent wave of royal events (two weddings and the birth of Prince Louis) has been good for business for DRG. On the back of that, the international distributor has racked up a slew of sales of royal themed programming to various international broadcasters.
The Big Royal Weddings Extravaganza, Meghan Markle: How To Be A Royal and Prince Harry: From Hellraiser To Husband – all of which were produced by ITN Productions for TLC – have been sold to Foxtel in Australia, and the royal themed SVOD sertvice True Royalty TV for its subscribers in the UK, Ireland, Canada and New Zealand.
Additionally, True Royality TV has also recently acquired six episode series By Royal Appointment; and specials Kate And William: The Wedding Of Te Century, Prince George At One and The Secret Photos Of The Duke And Duchess of Windsor. DRG has also sold the latter of those specials to HRT in Croatia. E! Latin America has acquired Prince Harry: From Hellraiser to Husband. Meghan Markle: How To Be Royal has sold to DirecTV Latin America, Nippon TV in Japan, TV3 in Ireland and Discovery Benelux. Finally, The Big Royal Weddings Extravaganza has also been acquired by TV3 in Ireland, Discovery Benelux, TV2 in Norway and Fokus in Poland.
