'This Is Us' Jumps To More4 For Season 2 UK Premiere – TVWise

NBC’s hit drama series This Is Us is jumping to a new channel on this side of the pond. After airing its first season on Channel 4, the PSB is moving the series to digi-net More4 for its second season. Season two will receive its UK premiere on More4 on Wednesday July 4th at 9pm.
At More4, This Is Us becomes only the second first run U.S. scripted acquisition on the channel, joining the likes of The Good Wife spin-off The Good Fight. That said, More4 does, under a life-of-series deal, hold rights to Showtime’s Shameless, but hasn’t aired new episodes since 2015.
This Is Us chronicles the Pearson family across the decades: from Jack and Rebecca as young parents in the 1980s to their 37-year-old kids Kevin, Kate and Randall searching for love and fulfillment in the present day. The drama series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and stars Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan, Susan Kelechi Watson and Ron Cephas Jones.
The opening episode of the show’s second season, titled A Father’s Advice, picks up during the Big 3’s 37th birthdays as Randall and Beth debate a big life change, Kate takes the first step in pursuing a new passion and Kevin balances the demands of his career and relationship. Meanwhile, Jack and Rebecca deal with the fallout of their big fight. Dan Fogelman, Isaac Aptaker, Elizabeth Berger, John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, Ken Olin, Charlie Gogolak and Jess Rosenthal executive produce. NBC has renewed the series for a third season.
