Summer In The Vineyard – the second entry in Hallmark’s In The Vineyard series of TV movies – will receive its UK premiere on Movies 24 on Sunday August 5th at 3pm, it has been announced.
Based on the books by Marina Adair, In The Vineyard tells the story of Frankie Baldwin and Nate DeLuca, who share the same dream of turning Sorrento Ranch into an award-winning winery. But they don’t exactly have a trusting relationship ever since Nate embarrassed her with a kiss in front of the entire town. So when Nate finds himself forced to corporate with Frankie in order to make their dreams come true, sparks fly. The movies are produced by Muse Entertainment and Head First Productions and star Rachael Leigh Cook (Perception) and Brendan Penny (Chesapeake Shores).
In Summer In The Vineyard, Frankie Baldwin (Rachael Leigh Cook) and Nate DeLuca (Brendan Penny) have became partners in love and work as co-owners of picturesque Sorrento Farms in the Napa Valley town of St. Madeline. Summer finds them on the verge of bottling their first vintage, just in time for a highly-publicized foodand-wine event that could launch Sorrento into the big time. But in their desire to do right by Sorrento and by each other, cautious Frankie and confident Nate end up working at crosspurposes – potentially undermining not only their winery but their relationship. The executive producers are Jim Head, Joel S. Rice, Michael Prupas, Shawn Williamson and Rachael Leigh Cook. Jamie Goehring and Trevor McWhinney are the producers. Martin Wood directs from a script written by Julie Sherman Wolfe based on the book “Summer in Napa” by Marina Adair.
