USA Network’s Unsolved: The Murders Of Tupac And The Notorious B.I.G. will receive its UK premiere on Netflix UK on Monday June 18th, when the complete first season will be available to stream, it has been announced.
Unsolved is a scripted anthology series that explores a different true crime series each season, in a similar vein to American Crime Story. The first season, subtitled The Murders Of Tupac And The Notorious B.I.G., chronicles the dual police investigations of Detective Greg Kading and Detective Russell Poole into the controversial murders of two of the rap industry’s most legendary players, Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace, AKA The Notorious B.I.G.
The drama series is produced by Universal Cable Productions and stars Josh Duhamel, Jimmi Simpson, Bokeem Woodbine, Wavyy Jonez, Marcc Rose. Anthony Hemingway (The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story) directs and executive produces along with Mark Taylor through their Hemingway | Taylor production company. Kyle Long (Suits) wrote the pilot and also executive produces. Greg Kading, a former LAPD Detective from the 2006 investigation into the murders, and author of the book Murder Rap, also serves as co-executive producer. USA Network has yet to make a decision on a potential second season, which would tell a new story and feature a new cast.
