ITV Sets Premiere Date For 'Innocent' – TVWise

ITV’s four-part drama Innocent will premiere on Monday May 14th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Innocent tells the story of David Collier who, having been convicted of murdering his wife Tara, has served seven years in prison. He’s always protested his innocence and faces the rest of his life behind bars. With the support of his brother, David appeals the conviction and to his utter astonishment is acquitted on a technicality. Although suspicion still hangs heavy over him, he is free to walk from court and to begin the long road to rebuilding his life and to restore his reputation. But at what cost to him personally and those around him?
The four-parter was created by Chris Lang – the respected scribe behind Unforgotten and the upcoming Tom Riley fronted Dark Heart – and is being produced by his indie TXTV. Lee Ingleby leads the cast as David Collier; while Hermione Norris takes on the role of Alice, Tara’s sister who has been raising Matt’s children while he has been in prison. Other cast members include Daniel Ryan (Mount Pleasant), Angel Coulby (The Tunnel), Nigel Lindsay (Victoria), Elliott Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons) and Adrian Rowlins (Dickensian). The executive producers are Chris Lang, Matt Arlidge and Jeremy Gwilt. Richard Clark is the director.
