Military drama Our Girl will return to BBC One with the second part of its third season on Tuesday June 5th at 9pm, it has been announced.
Our Girl follows Lance Corporal Georgie Lane (Michelle Keegan), and the other members of Two Section on various deployments overseas. The drama series is produced by BBC Studios and stars Michelle Keegan, Ben Aldridge, Rolan Bell, Sean Sagar, Simon Lennon, Sean Ward, Mark Armstrong, Dwane Walcott and Ashley Houston.
The third season runs an extended length of twelve episodes and as such the show will have a slightly different format and will now comprise of three separate missions, which will each air separately. In the second part of season three, Georgie, still grieving and heartbroken from the death of Elvis Harte, is sent to Nigeria on a training mission, alongside Two Section. Whilst Two Section work hard helping to equip the Nigerian Army, everyone is soon put on edge when they encounter a local crime boss and a seemingly ruthless band of mercenaries in the village near where a group of school girls have been abducted. As Two Section try to help the Nigerian forces locate the missing schoolgirls, Georgie unknowingly places herself and other members of Two Section in grave danger, when they go off grid.
