Wrestling Series ‘WOS Wrestling’ Gets 10 Episode Series Order At ITV

ITV has handed out a ten episode series order to WOS Wrestling, a wrestling series aimed at a family audience.

WOS Wrestling will see some of the UK’s finest pro wrestlers compete in various, intense bouts. At the end of each show, only one will get to take home the coveted WOS Wrestling Championship belt. Backstage interviews between rounds will give insight into what the wrestling stars are thinking.

The series is being produced for ITV by sister company ITV Studios. It was commissioned by Jane Beacon and Clare Ely, who were appointed earlier this year to serve as the commercial broadcaster’s joint Head of Daytime. ITV Studios Creative Director Tom McLennan will executive produce.

“There is a massive indie wrestling scene in the UK and a strong nostalgia for the wrestling shows of our youth”, McLennan said in a statement. “WOS Wrestling will combine the best of the past with incredible talent available today to make a fun, exciting and thrilling show that the whole family can enjoy.”
