ITV has given the greenlight to The Real Camilla: HRH The Duchess Of Cornwall, a one-off hour-long documentary film from independent production company Spun Gold.
The Real Camilla: HRH The Duchess Of Cornwall is a profile documentary that aims to be a revealing intimate portrait of the Duchess. Spun Gold secured unprecedented access to Camilla for the project. It will show both personal moments and Camilla at work; going behind the scenes of a frenetic tour of Italy and in the UK supporting the causes closest to her heart.
The one-off was commissioned for ITV by Controller of Factual Jo Clinton-Davis and Head of Factual Entertainment Sue Murphy. “With candid interviews with The Duchess and HRH The Prince of Wales, family, friends and the people who know her best, The Real Camilla provides a unique insight into the life, relationships and work of The Duchess of Cornwall”, Jo Clinton-Davis said in a statement.
The Real Camilla: HRH The Duchess Of Cornwall is being produced and directed by Jane Treays. Charles Clay will also serve as producer, while Juliet Rice and Nick Bullen are the executive producers. “This documentary shares unique moments with family, friends – and dogs! – at home and during her work schedule in the UK and abroad”, Rice added/ “As a result, viewers will see the private side of Camilla they’ve never seen before.” The documentary will air on ITV this spring. All3Media is handling global sales.
